Benchmade Bugout 535 VS Griptilian 551
In this article I am going to do a comparison between two survival knives one is Benchmade Bugout and the other one is Griptilian. Both of these knives are best in their own way. It just depends on the customers choice. But before going forward there are some features which you should consider before buying any one of these. Firstly the main feature is the blade. A sharper and a durable blade will provide a longer life span. secondly the handle of a knife really matters as it’s where you hold the knife so therefore It should be comfortable.

Benchmade is a famous knife manufacturer. People who are in love with survival mission such as spending days in a jungle where they are vulnerable to any kind of attack. All of their knives are made from premium quality material which provide the user the best knife experience. Below I am going to do a comparison between two knives of Benchmade.
Blade is the main component for any kind of knife. Without a good blade a knife is worthless as it allows the user to cut any thing they want for example cutting sticks from trees for firewood. A fine blade can help for self defense purpose. There are two knives who’s blade I am going to review in this article. One is Benchmade Bugout and the other one is Griptilian. Both of them from the same manufacturer.
Firstly I am going to discus about the Blade of Bugout. It comes with a 3.24 inches of fine blade. This blade length is quite portable and easy to store anywhere. With its folding feature you can easily store it in your pockets without worrying about getting a cut. the blade is made from S30V Stainless Steel which provides a good of durability and its also corrosion free. With this blade you will be able to cut through literally anything a tree, rope etc. it also features a satin finish which will protect the blade from corrosion so therefore its best for outdoor usage and you wont have to worry about getting it all rusty.
On the other hand we have the Griptilian. This is from the same manufacturer of Bugout. So the blade size of this knife is same as bugout which is 3.24 inches so therefore there is not any size difference between both of them so both are portable and easy to store and this knife also got the same folding mechanism. The blade used in this knife is also same as the Griptilian so the performance of both these knives are almost same.
Both can easily cut through anything either it’s a rope, wood or anything else which a knife can cut. so in conclusion the blades of both knives are almost same there is no difference in their performance. Both of them are tough, sharp, durable and can easily carry out any kind of task on a survival mission.
Handle is the important for any knife either it’s a survival knife or a normal. As with the help of a handle you are going to hold it. The better the grip of a handle is the more easier it is to use. The size of the handle also matters because if the size is bigger then there will be more surface area and it will be easier to hold but there is a negative impact aswell. It will increase the weight of knife and make it less portable. Below I am going to do a comparison between the handle of these two knives Bugout and Griptilian.
Firstly I am going to discus about the handle of Bugout. So its available in blue color which is eye catching and makes it look like a pure survival knife. Due to eye catching blue color its impossible to loose this life in the woods as you can easily spot it. The other variant of Bugout which is 535Gry model comes in a ranger green color. This color attracts the people love tracking and hiking and its matches to their outfit.
The material used in the handle is either fiber glass infused or carbon fiber infused both of these materials are extremely light weight and durable so therefore you will be receiving a durable knife with an extremely lightweight. The size of the handle is 4.5 inches long which is bigger than the length of blade so therefore its got a better grip.
On the other hand we have Griptillian. The handle of this knife is made from Noryl which is a blend of polyamide and modified polyphenylene. So due to this the handle of knife is almost weightless so therefore its easy to carry around. Along with less weight the durability is pretty good they didn’t compromised on the weight of knife by lowering its weight.
The material used in its handle is also heat and water resistance so therefore its best for using outdoor. That’s the main reason why a number of people love this knife. The size of its handle is 4.55 inches which is almost same the bugout so therefore there is not visible difference in the size of these knifes. When the knife is folded its size increases to 4.62 inches when its fully extended its 8 inches.
